When Governor Chris Christie was pressed by Republican conservatives to reverse his selection of a Muslim judge, he responded with moral integrity: “It is ridiculous and insulting, that because I nominated Sohail Mohammed — that people some how think that means I’m for Sharia Law. It’s crap. And I will not ever apologize for making him a judge — in fact, I’m proud of it. Sohail is an extraordinary American who is an outstanding lawyer. Ignorance is behind his criticism. When Mohammed Ali Jinnah was pressed by Mullahs on treating Ahmadi Muslims equally in the Muslim League, he responded with moral integrity too: I appeal to the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir not to raise sectarian questions, but instead to unite on one platform under one banner. In this lies the welfare of the Muslims. In this way, not only can Muslims make political and social progress effectively, but so can other communities... What right have I to declare a person non-Muslim, when he claims to be a Muslim. BUT when Imran Khan (Official PTI PAGE) was asked by Mullahs why he named a world renowned Ahmadi economist as his future finance Minister, he replied: Let me clarify that I did not know he was an Ahmadi. I consider Ahmadis non-Muslim and I will make sure the current status quo regarding anti-Ahmadi legislation is maintained. The guy clearly lacks the moral integrity we see in Christie and Jinnah. Do you want a #NayaPakistan where your fellow Pakistanis continue to be ostracized and judged based on their faith? I dont. No, thank you.
