When I am unsure of your heart towards me, it erodes my assurance. This has been the scheme of the evil one from the beginning. He lied about Gods character. Adam & Eve believed the lie. As a result, they lost their relationship of love, trust and security they enjoyed with Father God. Whether God or man, his tactics are much the same, filling the airwaves of our head with lies and false assumptions. If I can assassinate someones character and undermine your belief in them, it will destroy trust and eradicate the fabric of assurance that holds the relationship in tact. Seeds of doubt blossom into mistrust under the whispers of the evil one.
