My almost 98-year-old aunt Antoinette Forehand or Netter just - TopicsExpress

My almost 98-year-old aunt Antoinette Forehand or Netter just entered hospice and will most likely die with a couple of days. She is the last of my aunts. Otis Morris, Sue Pritchard, Ruth Light, and Mary (Cupie) Morgan were a spirited brood of sisters. Anyone of them alone would have made a great Auntie Maim. Otis was an ardent Democrat and union steward with a lusty background. Nette was an ardent Republican and business executive. They took nothing off anyone! There is an old house that was moved next to Southlake Mall turned into a restaurant. It was an old family home for my mother. Nette and Cupie visited a few years ago and celebrated with the owner stories about the house. My mother’s old bedroom was a bar and coffee room. Clayton County reneged on agreements that they had made with the owner and the restaurant is now closed. Cupie cannot recall what she had for lunch but my mother has deep memories of events that took place over 70 years ago. She has an incredible spatial memory and can navigate Clayton and Henry Counties without being distracted by the current lay of the land or buildings. I believe at least part of our treasures in heaven includes the relationships we share. These now passing away women are treasures.
