When I hear of all the junk going on in the world today, by both those who have never professed Jesus as Savior and those who say they are Believer’s I can’t help but go back to read the account of Noah. The people in Noah’s day mocked his beliefs even before God called him to build an ark. They laughed at him as he built a huge boat when there was no body of water around. But when those first drops of rain started coming down, they changed their tune. Then you fast forward to what Jesus said about Noah “In those days before the Flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the Flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.” And then on to 2 Peter 3:3, “First, I want to remind you that in the last days there will be scoffers who will laugh at the truth and do every evil thing they desire.” Does both Noah’s day and this description sound familiar? There are those who will argue: ‘Jesus promised to come back? Well where is he? They will tell you everything in the world has remained exactly the same since the world went through its evolution, powerful countries and people come and powerful countries and people go; people have been killing each other forever ago, nothing has changed, so if Jesus is coming back why is He waiting?.’ Yes there are still scoffer’s and unbeliever’s but it isn’t hard to read the ‘writing on the wall’ if you’re paying attention. God tell us there is a generation that will not see death, that instead, they will be removed from the face of the earth. Judgment is coming. There is no doubt about it. Come Lord Jesus Come!!
