When I started writing for David Star The Lord was doing a huge work in my heart and attitude. When the record was done I thought that chapter was over and that I could move on to the next one. What I am finding out now is that I was nowhere near done with it. Throughout the trials of this year I have felt the Spirit of God at work in me repeatedly asking me if I truly believe the things that I wrote about in this record. Do I really believe that God is where my worth comes from? That I can bless someone while they curse me? That I can forgive them for it? That I can even trust Him while He inflicts painful discipline? I am finding out now more than ever that I lack deeply in all of those areas. While I could have written all of those lyrics in a journal to keep for myself, I want them to minister to you. You are not alone, we are all in this battle together. Lets bear one anothers burdens and run the race not as lone wolves but as a team. I love you guys and I pray for you consistently. Live free, fight hard. AO.
