When I was a little girl I spent a lot of time at the Slatedale Cemetary. I know it sounds morbid but it was a great place to ride bike. I remember seeing all the fancy stones and picking the ones that I liked the best but not really recognizing any of the names. The sad part of growing older is knowing that the names that I see now were all part of my world in my little community and too many of them are now gone. Peace be with you Herman (Melissa Semmel Acker), you were a dear sweet man on earth...I know you are sitting in the garden in heaven. Missy Horn Lilly the red tailed hawk was there today...I yelled, hi Ham. Mom, Dad, Artie, Bup Greene, Jane Falat, Denise Pierce. What a beautiful day to visit this peaceful place but I would much rather have you with us.
