When I was working as CEO of Economic Growth Centers we entered into looking at the missed opportunities by not making use of those not only willing to work past age 65 but those needing to work past age 65. We called the the Boomer Project and found age discrimination played a huge part, as well as a lack of understanding of this potential workforce. This age group needs no changes as have been described here. This group of potential workers are a cheaper and more experienced/skilled group than their younger contemporaries. The only incentives needed to bring those over 65 back into the workforce is work schedule flexibility. Namely less hours per week, i.e. part time or the ability to take an unpaid leave.
