When I was young, I busily got ready for school. My dad sat at the kitchen table, ate his cereal, and read the newspaper. My mom, Charleann Smith, packed my lunch. There wasnt much conversation, at all. When I attended high school, my dad drove me to early morning seminary, before school. The car ride was quiet. Its not that there was no love; there was plenty. We all just enjoy quiet in the morning. As I leave for work in the mornings, Mark Harman is usually asleep. Obviously, that makes for quiet mornings too. Typically, the first time I speak to someone is when I greet my students, after the bell. To me, quiet mornings have always made for GREAT mornings... until recently! Ellie Eina LOVES her morning chatter. She wakes at 5-6AM, daily. She lays in her crib, cooing. I hear her, but I happen to be content under the warm covers. I listen to her talk. She makes all kinds of vocalizations from Oooos and Aaaaaws to super-high pitched calls. She gives the ultimate high pitched call just before she is about to cry for her mommy. THAT is when I get up and go into her bedroom. She sees me and begins to laugh and coo with excitement. She stares at me and kicks her mattress, waiting for me to pick her up. I reach in to get her, giver her kisses and snuggles, place her on the changing table, give her more kisses, and begin morning clean-up. She lays still, except her face. She is always smiling, making melt your heart expressions, and talking away. I cant imagine ever having another quiet morning. Ellie Einas laughter and vocalizations are the sweetest music I could ever hear, let alone imagine. Now, to me, mornings should be FULL of her sweet symphonies.
