When JFK said he wanted to put a man on the moon before 1970 America mobilized --- here in Wisconsin in humble Saukville, Northern Signal Company hired my Father in 1963, an expert in FM technology to help build transmitters for NASA --- Dennis Tronka next door at Freeman Chemical developed Resins to use to protect the components from the vibration of liftoff and intense heat and cold of space --- My dad worked long hours in our basement on Antoine Dr. in Port assembling FM transmitters for testing and use, I helped him as much as he would let me, even soldering some circuits under his scrutiny-- it had to be perfect --- the radio that Neil Armstrong used to transmit his famous Its one small step for man was built in Saukville, the resin encasing it came from Freeman Chemical invented by Dennis Tronka, and it was left on the moon on the lander assembly because they didnt want waste the fuel to lift the extra seventy pounds of weight when they took off --- it is still there, along with the other radios on all the other landers, all assembled here by people who lived in Port and Saukville ---- I just wanted everyone to know that Port and Saukville contributed to Americas Manned moon missions and all of the NASA flights -- Mercury to Apollo.....WHD
