When Orchard View Elementary School teacher Drew Graber told his wide-eyed second grade students that he knew Northridge High School football player Isaac Zickafoose — known around the community as The Predator for his long dreadlocks and aggressiveness reminiscent of a certain movie alien — it really got their attention. Graber had coached Zickafoose on the wrestling mat, so the second-year teacher decided to use the relationship as a way to get his kids excited about books. He invited the popular senior to lead off his lineup of reading role models.
