When Toddy came to us in 1998, her first owner had been looking - TopicsExpress

When Toddy came to us in 1998, her first owner had been looking for her and eventually found her at the Center for Great Apes. Even though he had not seen her for over 17 years, Toddy immediately recoginzed him and spontaneously made a silly face that she had learned with him by pulling her lip down with her finger. Larry realized that having a chimp as a pet was not the best for the chimpanzee and was grateful Toddy was finally at the Center. Over the past 16 years since he found her here, Larry has come to visit Toddy many times, volunteered to help us with projects, and donated funds to help with her care. Toddy greets her old friend with happy pant hoots everytime.... and occasionally still makes her silly play-face when she sees him.
