When a worthless BJP leader from Bihar announced that Modi haters should go to Pakistan, there was a lot of hue and cry in the political circuits and of course our liberal media. Such diktats are dictatorial and there is no place for such remarks in a democratic setup such as India. FIR was lodged against Giriraj Singh, Police was at his doorsteps, he had to file for an anticipatory bail. Yesterday, a distinguished leader from Jammu and Kashmir declared that those who vote for Modi, should jump in an ocean and die. I believe our country is still democratic and the media still liberal. As a sensible individual, I would like to see the same reactions. an FIR, Police involvement, an anticipatory bail maybe? And while Girirajs message was for the political class, Abdullahs statement was for the common masses. I will rate the latters statement as the more serious one among the two, and as somebody who prefers Modi over the current contestants, I am deeply offended.
