When did adopting an animal become rescuing an animal? What are these people doing? Flying into bad animal owners homes wearing capes to the tune of: HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY!!!!??? Dont get me wrong, I love that people adopt strays, and I dont particularly like animal breeders, but isnt this just another example of the pussification of society? Isnt this just another undeserved pat on the back to make us feel like we are actually doing something profound and not just something that makes economic, social and humane sense? Isnt this arent we great tendency stopping us from being truly remarkable and doing truly heroic things? - Anyway, just a random morning thought.
