When it comes to childrens vaccines, mental health, flu shots, ebola... can we please stop listening to the wisdom of Jenny McCarthy, Tom Cruise, Harry the guy check out guy at Wegmans, Billy the Internet Scientist, or your know it all friend who has never, once, been a part of any health study in his/her life? Listen to the experts!!! Why? Because they are the experts and these other people are NOT! You dont have a choice. If you dont vaccinate your kids, you run the risk of them DYING completely preventable deaths. Every medication comes with some risk. It is risk vs. benefit. I take pills that may cause Lymphoma. Am I scared? A little. But it is 1 in 10,000. If I dont take it, I will be dead inside a year from uncontrolled Colitis. I have to rely on my doctor, because he knows better than I do. Lets use our heads and stop listening to people just because they have a microphone in front of them. If you are afraid of these ailments and their treatments, ask someone who knows, YOUR DOCTOR! If not, why bother going to a health care professional at all. Stop the panic! Too many children have lost their lives because of irrational fears spread by Jenny McCarthy, whose only claim to fame is that she will take her clothes off at the drop of a hat. How does that make her an expert on immunology? The deaths of many children are partly on her hands. Lets wake up! As far as Ebola, yes it is concerning, but listen to the FACTS, not what you read in the comments section of internet articles. Out of the 1000+ people I know on Facebook, I would be willing to bet ZERO will get Ebola! If you want to worry, worry about how the Eagles are going to score on the Giants tonight. You are not going to get Ebola!
