When it comes to losing weight its down to three things, you get these three areas of discipline down to a fine art your going to kick serious ass every day due to looking good, eating good and sleeping good which in turn improves confidence through your days 1) Diet This is obvious, I go on about it all the time. Nail the diet around smart training this will also help you sleep better. E.g. Stay away from late night coffee, tea, even green tea (small amounts of caffeine) bad sugars, and processed carbs. 2) Training You do not have to train your ass off like a hell of a lot of people portray. It needs to be smart training with adequate amount of rest around. (This is where sleep comes in) Training infact is catabolic (this means its breaking you down). You are using and testing your bodies energy levels, muscles, hormones, cortisol everything!! Sooooo this is why number 3 is soooooooo important 3) Sleep This is the biggy especially for the AM campers getting up at the crack of dawn So when we go to bed our cortisol (stress hormone) begins to lower (which has been high throughout the day for different reasons e.g work colleges stressing you out, you have been training, didnt sleep well) and your melatonin then raises cortisol lowers and begins the sleep process where you now nod off. Things which delay this process are having a tv, iPad, phone, could be doing the late night laptop dance or even that light in the hall because your scared the bogey monster will get you sustaining you cortisol for longer and delaying your sleep process and melatonin..... Well asides that your eyes and brain sensors are associating these different lights, seeing people faces on tv, laptop, or phone which then delays the sleep process Second reason why its important because being a awake is a catabolic process, soooo the opposite is sleep and this is anabolic This means that its when we are sleeping the rest, healing and repair process takes places. Its crucial that we try and control our cortisol and sleep patterns as well as we can. So taking control of your sleep pattern, cortisol is crucial to your goals and achievements.
