When someone close to us pass away we weep, our friends often share our pain and sorrows, so they often weep with us. Jesus Wept (John 11:35) when he met with Mary and Martha and others that were mourning Lazarus death. Jesus did not weep over the death itself since he knew Lazarus would soon be raised from the dead, Yet He could not help but weep when he saw his friends Mary and Martha weeping, along with the other mourners (John 11:33). Jesus wept silent tears these were tears of compassion for His friends. We should always show compassion for others in their time of grief. My thought for today!
