When the hostages were taken in Iran, I was a soldier. When cubans - TopicsExpress

When the hostages were taken in Iran, I was a soldier. When cubans from the Mariel boat lift pressed against the fence trying to urinate on us as we ran for physical training, I was a soldier. When Saddam attacked Kuwait, I was a soldier. When the USS Cole was bombed, I was a soldier, When the towers fell, I was a soldier, who 4 days later extended my enlistment as an example to my soldiers, because I was a soldier. Too many times I have had to say that paragraph (on behalf of a grateful nation) because I was a soldier. So as you tell me about prejudice and being open to diversity I would answer, with what I have seen. If you want to be in my country, you want to be an American. No longer an arab, no longer black you are a member of my family and if you want a divorce I get the house and you have to leave. That is it. I want my family and my country to be the shining star that it was in the last century. Thank you for allowing my prejudices
