When the labels A&Rs contact a producer for a remix, they expect a result back similar or close to one of their previous works. If the producer takes the remix as a new experiment for his original sound, the label has the right to reject the remix. We as labels expect a sound close to your original. Trying a new sub genre isnt exactly the right move unless you already told the label about it and theyve agreed on it. Scenario: X label asks Haig & Raffi for a remix knowing they produce Uplifting Trance. Haig & Raffi does a Progressive Trance without the labels knowledge and send it to the label at the deadline. X label rejects the remix. They have every right to do so. Period. #Tip #Trance #Labels #Producers
