When we are in the process of transforming our relationship to - TopicsExpress

When we are in the process of transforming our relationship to life, we begin to notice that opportunities to do something different are everywhere and they always come around. You also begin to witness how your big dissatisfactions were not overnight creations, but rather a lifetime of small, almost imperceptible (aka ignorable) grievances that simply became habits. Thankfully, it doesn’t take a lifetime to create something new. It just takes a moment of consciousness to make a difference. Life is a paradox – things take time and yet things happen in an instant. Both are true – one not more right or better than the other. It’s just how it is. We miss out on so much living when we subscribe to one end of a spectrum when the reality is that both ends are true and sometimes at the same time. To illustrate the idea of how reliable opportunities for choice are. I’m thinking of a particular sushi restaurant in downtown Vancouver. It has a unique serving concept: There is a circular waterway in the center of a very long table. Small boats with sushi creations float by in the current. As the patron, you merely reach out to eat anything you desire that’s floating by. The sushi is always floating past on the waterway. And life is very much like the sushi boats. The opportunity comes around and if we don’t take it, shortly thereafter, there will be another opportunity. So if one passed you by, another is on the way. Or maybe in front of you right now.
