When we come to believe in Christ, it is the Holy Spirit that enables us to be conscious of sins and repent, it is not a manifestation of our determination or emotions to surrender sovereignty to Christ, rather, it is turning to God in our spirit. When the Holy Spirit lives within a person, he will have this “heart of willing to suffer because of the Lord”.
