When we look at the world, we sometimes wonder; why do some people live in poverty? Mostly in third world countries. The reason why people live in poverty is because their governments want the people to be poor. Their governments want the people to be ignorant. They want their people to live in fear. This is how dictatorships control their people, by keeping them poor, stupid and fearful of death or imprisonment. Likewise, fundamentalist religious organizations do the same as a way of control. The only difference is that they want their followers to fear the unknown, and embrace death as a way out of the terrible life they have.
