When will I learn? This morning, I once again violated my No drive-thrus -- EVER rule. On the way to take my daughter to her drumline practice early this morning, she asked if we could stop at Burger King & get her some breakfast. Since I was in NO condition to be seen by non-family members (pre-shower, no make-up, coffee breath, & worst of all, no bra), I decided to go through the drive-thru. I asked her what she wanted, to which she replied, cinnamon rolls, hash browns, and orange juice.) So, I pulled up, the only car in the line -- here is a transcription of what followed: Attendant: Welcome to Burger King, may I take your order? Me: Yes, please. An order of cinnamon rolls... Attendant: What size? Me: Medium. Attendant: They come in 1, 2, or 4. Me: 2. Me: An order of hash browns... Attendant: What size? Me: 1? Attendant: They come in small, medium, large, and widow-maker. (I added the last one.) Me: Small. Me: (finally catching on) And a medium orange juice, please. Attendant: Orange juice only comes in one size. Is that OK? Of course it does.
