When you are applying for a role, its important not to rush your application. Take your time and ensure that you are submitting the very best representation of yourself to the employer. A common misconception I hear often is applicants assuming they need to get their application in early. This is NOT the case when there is a closing date for applications. If the job advertisement states Applications close on Friday 9th of January at 5pm then provided you get your application to them by no later than 5pm on the closing date, your application will be considered the same as the first application the recruiter received. Most recruiters do not begin to look at applications until after the closing date, because its impossible to shortlist applicants when you do not have them all in front of you.
