When you call 911 in Minneapolis, the average wait time is around 8 seconds, city officials say. But when we looked at the records, we found that during certain times of the day, the wait can be much longer – up to 3 minutes. We talked with longtime operators and dispatchers about the findings, and they are concerned. They blame the long wait times on low staffing levels. We just can’t do it anymore, one of them said.
