When you commit to a series, you commit to the theme song as well. - TopicsExpress

When you commit to a series, you commit to the theme song as well. This one is undeniably atmospheric -- some hipster muttering into his beard like Nick Cave covering a Lee Hazlewood song -- but I cant understand a word hes singing. Its not as jarring as Boardwalk Empire, which undermines its 1920s setting with a Stones-ish rock tune (well, its Scorsese, not Woody Allen). Breaking Bad pretty much dispenses with theme music altogether except for just 19 seconds of dobro behind the opening credits. Is that a better approach? After all, you have to live with it a while.
