When you look at the fairly recent study of Germanys recovery from the Weimer economic collapse, it was due to the government keeping OUT of the normal free market actions....salaries were NOT regulated nor was collusion amongst business allowed. Most had jobs, albeit lower paying, but they worked. The recovery from a historic inflationary economy was very quick. FDR made deals with unions and business to allow collusion/price support in exchange with acquiescing to union artificial pay demands. So, our recovery took over a decade and really was not done until WWII pulled us up and out. I wouldnt be surprised to find that social psychologists would find that the resultant feeling of empowerment amongst the German people probably contributed to their mindset of master race--in any case, looking on the brighter side of its effects, it was I am sure, a huge boost to the mentality of the people. We are in a malaise that I think our little boy president sees/er, saw, as a real boon to being seen to ride in on the white horse of govt rescue. Despite a smokescreen by media and idiot pundits, truth emerged and shockingly to me and many other conservatives, a big bad b-slap was given. This is a very important article of instruction to the GOP, with NO doubt. Laser focus on jobs and the economy will result in such a shift in social attitude that I might go so far to say that tamping on the grave of the dim/left may start....the other shoe to fall in complete tamping will only come with tax reform that has the result of putting a huge rein on lobbyists/disproportionate corporate control of govt---and term limits.
