Whenever anyone tells me they are going to vote for me, it warms my heart yet its also very humbling. And there are people in our community who are larger than life. Folks who have shown exceptional commitment and courage while speaking truth to power. There is a local physician who is a great humanitarian and a champion of nonviolent conflict resolution -- a giant of a man in many ways. I ran into him last night and he was thrilled about my senate run and is willing to help me. It made me feel like a million bucks that this man I admire so much wants me to represent him. Thats even better than ribs and apple fritters....
