Whenever it comes to the month of Ramadahan I usually ponder down - TopicsExpress

Whenever it comes to the month of Ramadahan I usually ponder down to remember what befell my Kingdom of Buganda in September 2009. It was during the month of Ramadhan when some of us were fasting that the “NRM” Government under President Museven’s instructions, heavily deployed the police and the army on roads leading to Kayunga from Kampala to ensure that neither the Katikiiro nor his team on the 10th day of September nor my beloved Kabaka on the 12th September 2009 would proceed or have access to Kayunga. I thank the Almighty God who gave us courage and determination to demonstrate our full support and love to our motherland Buganda which “THEY” saboteurs will live to remember. In the same regard I also wish to remind “THEM” that BUGANDA is a Nation which is not the case with UGANDA. There are certain common characteristics of a nation that distinguish it from societies or even states that are not nations. These include among others a common history, culture, common beliefs or values, common language and at times common religion. Buganda has all these characteristics which we are proud of and ready to protect at all costs. In the same spirit I would like to thank God and our team of lawyers from Buganda Kingdom who made it possible for the release of our colleagues who had been denied justice for three years just because of the love they have for their nation Buganda. Our dear brothers we love you and share with you whatever you went through and remember “we shall overcome some day.’’ Yesterday a national prayer was held to remember the more than 70 people who lost their lives during the Bomb Blast at Kyadondo Rugby club and Ethiopian Restaurant at Kabalagala three years back, may their souls rest in eternal peace. Equally important, it’s about to five years since we lost 42 people during the infamous Kayunga Riots. It’s the 42 people who are officially known according to Human Rights and Mulago Murtary Reports. It therefore becomes crucially important and incumbent upon us if not obligatory to hold a joint prayer to remember and pray for our beloved colleagues who were killed during the Kayunga Riots and later at Kasubi Royal Palace without fail this year. Tomorrow I will again publish the names of the people who were killed during the Kayunga Riots in 2009 and in the same spirit call upon all the people to give us names of those people who were killed but still remain unknown. The 42 people died on spot but those who died later are yet to be known. Kaaya Rajab
