Where Are They Now Wednesday !!! Corinne Stone Hi, Im Corinne Stone. I graduated from Mountlake Terrace back in 2012. I played trombone in Jazz 3 for about two years and Wind Ensemble for two and a half years. I enjoyed going to the jazz festivals, but I mostly had the most fun in class. I probably learned more life lessons and life skills in band than I did in any other class at Terrace. I definitely made some amazing friends in both band and choir and Im very thankful for that. After graduating high school, I chose to go to Western Washington University to study communication sciences and disorders. I volunteer through a class called Compass 2 Campus. I had the privilege to work with three 7th graders last spring quarter in the band at their middle school. I used the music that I had learned from my previous years in band to inspire them to continue band in their later years – two of them started off hating it, but after showing the pep band music we played at MTHS, they changed their minds. Im hoping to double minor in American Sign Language and music so I can do music therapy with my patients once I am a professional speech-language pathologist. Although I dont play my trombone as often, I do use my musical knowledge towards my job as music coordinator in Westerns Glee Club. Trombone wasnt as much of a professional goal for me as it was a hobby. Being involved with this band and working with Mr. Faul , I definitely look back and realize that he wasnt crazy and he actually was helping us become independent and strong young men and women. Currently I dont have a job; Im mostly just focusing on school and on my volunteer work. I volunteer through FIRST at their robotics competition, through Compass2Campus by inspiring young students (5th grade to 9th grade) at level 1 schools and push them to look forward to college and think that its an option even for them. I also do security at a variety of festivals up the west coast of Washington mainly in the summer. Thats all about me, have a good day!
