Where I live in Montana, at the edge of creation. It’s hard not - TopicsExpress

Where I live in Montana, at the edge of creation. It’s hard not to be filled full of elation. Where the land and the animals run wild, This is the place where God rested and smiled. Stacie Ostendorf It’s that time of year again when long nights on little sleep begin their ware, its calving season for us and farmers, ranchers, and vet clinics everywhere. A blanket of white now covers the ground and we all start thinking about the haying season to come. Now it might not be a direct thought exactly, but as you listen to the crunch of your footsteps on the snow walking to the tractor, you can’t help but contemplate, “I wonder how much moisture is in this and how will it affect the planted winter wheat or pasture grass crop for the coming year?” “Maybe we will have a lot of snow so we won’t have to purchase hay this year and get some good carryover.” Continuing your walk, you can hear the cows bellerin’ out in the distance for the bales to be fed, the ones you spent those long hours on little sleep because the dew was just right. As the morning feeding carry’s on, you pull up to the bale stack yard where each stacked row is located from specific fields so that they may be rationed out appropriately when the time came. With each bale you feed you look at the quality of your forage and how well your Twine, NetWrap or Bale Film protected your hard work to be able to get to the point of feeding and bedding dry straw for the newborn calves and lambs. So, was I really that far off the mark when I said it’s that time of year where we start thinking about haying season again? Hay is the one of the most common winter feedstuffs in most regions of the country and our little corner of the world is no exception. As most everyone knows, getting it baled right means a lot of long hot days in the fields and feeding it often comes with bad weather. Feeding high quality hay in the winter starts with a lot of planning and carries through the winter. Getting this good quality hay starts with moisture at the right time, harvesting, and getting it off the fields for that hopeful second and third cuttings. If there isn’t some of those main components there can be significant losses not only in the crude protein but with dry matter loss as well, this can cause producers to have to buy a lot of supplement to make up for those losses. It is for this reason that Kelly and I have decided to start selling and distributing essential baling products needed by farmers and ranchers at harvest time to help prevent these losses. We sell hay harvesting products to assist the farmer/rancher in protecting their forage, helping it hold its value until it is needed. Our company originated with the goal to market NetWrap and Bale Film but since our creation, we have added more products enabling us to provide for the ever changing industry. Our product list includes Sisal Twine, Plastic Twine, Propionic Baler Acid, NetWrap, and Bale Film along with some other baling products. One of our goals is to offer quality products that will withstand the weather and provide excellent protection to ensure that your forage, time and money will not go to waste. We are striving to provide a beneficial line of product at great affordable prices with friendly personalized local service.
