Two days after Michael Brown was shot, a Hispanic cop shot and killed an unarmed 20 year-old white man in South Salt Lake, Utah. The young man, Dillon Taylor, was walking away from the cop, and Taylor had his hands in his pants. The cop, Officer Bron Cruz, bellowed for Taylor to Get your hands out now! Taylor turned around, his hands still in his pants. Officer Cruz yelled Get them out! Taylor pulled out his hands. As he did, Cruz fired twice, killing Taylor. The DA ruled the shooting justifiable. Taylors family said Taylor was pulling up his pants.
