Where is the plan?...the Ministry of Health needs a national strategy to contain the deadly Ebola virus, now causing havoc in Guinea, from reaching Liberia. International public health experts say the virus has killed nearly 60 persons in the border towns of Guéckédou, Macenta, and Nzérékoré in the south of the country, and there are concerns that the disease could spread to Liberia. Ebola hemorrhagic fever is a rare but fatal disease that spreads rapidly through direct contact with infected people or animals and kills 90% of its victims. It can be transmitted by blood and body fluids and already Guinean health officials say they have seen an infected person traveled to Liberia.
