Which Fortune 100 CEO has the biggest security budget? The percentage of Fortune 100 companies that provide personal and home security to CEOs has ranged from 45 percent to 54 percent over the last five years. Online retailer Amazon spent the most in 2013, with $1.6 million going to security for founder and CEO Jeff Bezos, according to an analysis in the upcoming 2014 Benefits and Perquisites Report by Equilar. In second place, Oracle spent $1.5 million on security for CEO Larry Ellison, including his residence, and Disney spent $584,075 to protect CEO Bob Iger. The Fortune 100 spent a median of $28,618 on CEO security perks in 2013, a decrease from $58,600 in 2012, but this significant change does not include security related to air travel, and may not include executive perks below $10,000. One-time expenses, such as the installation of a security system, may inflate the spending for a given year. Alan Schissel, president and CEO of Integrated Security Services, estimates that a team of four rotating security agents would cost about $18,000 per week. Surveillance and alarms for a home larger than 15,000 square-feet could range from $25,000 to move than $50,000. ow.ly/HDUXR
