While I am all for student-initiated personal (not peer-pressured) - TopicsExpress

While I am all for student-initiated personal (not peer-pressured) religious expression in schools, outside groups have NO BUSINESS coming into schools to hand out religious material. I dont sign away my rights as a parent just because I put my child in a school. I still have the right to decide what religious material theyre exposed to and how it is presented to them. You could argue that parents having that much control would reduce childrens exposure to different ideas. Ill point out that were only responsible for them for the first 18 years of their lives and they will have plenty of time to learn about other stuff. And who says the outside group is going to give them any less biased of a viewpoint? Im betting they wont. End of story.
