While I am waiting on Andrea Boone-Young and Mia Suite to join me at Bourbon DC, I want to say that this was a very productive trip for the Democratic African-American Womens Caucus. I met some very influential people who are overjoyed at what we are doing here in Florida. Just know that we have some great people who are standing behind us and are supporting our movement. While there are some who are resistive to something new, the people who want the best for African-American Women, and therefore our country, are supporting this organization. I was pleased with what I heard. To the ones who wish to challenge and stop us, just know this: the DAAWC is bigger than any one person or opposing organization. African-American Women bring a lot to the political and social tables. We will no longer be denied or ignored.
