While I may agree with most, the situation in the Ukraine, and - TopicsExpress

While I may agree with most, the situation in the Ukraine, and specifically the Crimean Peninsula is tenuous at best. Aside from all the media hype being placed on the situation by nearly every main-stream and alternative news source on a near-global level; there is more to the story. The government of the Ukraine originally signed a treaty with Russia giving Russia authority to operate its former military installations until 2017. This agreement was then modified adding another 25 years, or 2042, as the end date of the agreement, in order for the Russians to construct a new base in Russian territory adjoining the Black Sea. None of this is being told as part of the story, only that additional Russian troops were deployed to Crimea. I would ask the question, again, as I did yesterday. If the situation in the Ukraine, were duplicated in England, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea or any other location where American citizens are stationed as part of the Department of Defense, or any other treaty-recognized facility, WOULD YOU NOT HOPE THAT THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT HAD THE BALLS to step up to the plate to ensure the safety of those Americans in a foreign country, where they were guaranteed safety by the host nation? LASTLY, IF THIS NON-EVENT IN MY OPINION is making such GLOBAL news, what is going on that we are not being told? Gun confiscations in Connecticut arent making the news. Opposition on a near-national scale to Common Core Education isnt making the news. WHAT ELSE?
