While I wait for my iTunes download, I will share a story about what happened to me up on old Hwy 63 last night. I usually drive that way to work because, well, screw the interstate. Anyways, Id forgotten how bad the fog gets on old Hwy 63 because I hadnt driven that way in years for any reason. Now, Im driving that road 3-4 times a week. Anyway, Im usually a very down to earth person about things for the most part, even when I see it with my own eyes I still have trouble believing it actually happened. I usually look for the scientific way of looking at things first before I go jumping into the realm of ghosts. So I was driving along and certain spots up along the road were so foggy that I almost had to come to a stop to crawl along to see the road. After you cross the first bridge and pass by the old Sand Quarry silo, you come to the second bridge and cross over. For the past several nights that I have driven through that stretch all the way to the substation, I get a very eerie feeling. Especially in the spot where there used to be an old concrete platform where they used to load coal. The hair on the back of my neck will stand on end and I get the chills. Last night was no different and I had decided to pack my digital camera along, which had a set of freshly charged batteries in it. So I get to the substation and decided to take pictures. The first two pictures were odd looking and had all sorts of orbs floating around. Which, it was foggy so thats possibly water vapor reflection. When I got to the 3rd picture, I felt the hair on my head stand up and I decided to leave. When I came to the old gravel road (Titus Hollow) that leads out to the game wardens house, I decided to take some more pictures, but my camera would not work. So I chalked it up to dead batteries and shrugged it off. This morning, on my way to my other job, I took Hwy 63 and decided to look at the camera to see if it was working. It worked perfectly. So Im going to load the pictures I did take and investigate them and see if I got anything on film. And my camera is STILL going, right now. But for some reason, it would not load last night? Freaky? Defective camera or batteries? I dont know. But its interesting to say the least :)
