While hiking up past Long Lake, I had a critter that I noticed was following me. I kept catching it out of my peripheral view. As I stopped to chimp a few pics that I took with my phone, I heard something right behind me. I turned to find a little face peeking out from around the tree right next to me. I slowly put my phone back in my pocket, and reached for the big camera. It just kept coming closer, never sitting still for a good photo. I sat down, and it finally worked its way right up to me, so close that my camera would not focus. Later, after asking a few other photogs about what I had just encountered, it turns out it was a Pine Marten! I have never seen one before! It was such a beautiful, and graceful animal! It was a awesome experience! I just wish I had better photos to remember it with! :/ WARNING: BAD PHOTOS!
