While waiting on my new hackle to be built I decided to try the DIY hackle using hair picks. It works pretty well! I still want my hackle!! LOL. I had to move it from my craft table to something more sturdy as it really needed to be perfectly stable. Also I bought metal picks with tall teeth and they moved around a little bit which was difficult for me to diz off when that happened. Im a REAL newbie and that made the task a little harder for me. But heres my second attempt and I think it looks ok. These arent colors Id necessarily use together. I was using left over wool from other projects.
