While walking the lobby of the Commodore Hotel in March, 1975 during the Mighty Marvel Comics Convention, I spotted GOH Jack Kirby standing off by himself. I nervously introduced myself and Jack invited me to sit with him for a while. It was a magical 15 minutes of listening to The King talk about the comics industry. I was uncharacteristically silent and just drank in his every syllable.
