While we celebrate the Gaza ceasefire, let us not be deceived. Let us not be rocked back to sleep. Palestinians continue to live without basic human rights in an apartheid state, where they are systemically humiliated, tortured and killed. This is not only a Muslim cause. This is a human cause. We must continue to boycott, spread awareness, and demand an end to US-sponsored state terrorism. We must continue to make duaa for Gaza and all oppressed people. And we must continue to struggle against our own inner monsters, against the oppressor inside us. Against the parts of ourselves that rebel against Allah. Because the liberation of Gaza is promised.
