Whitakers Report: Please check the waterline for the latest update. On Saturday we had mild conditions and the temperature reached into the mid 30s. The mild weather is expected to continue through today so anglers should take advantage of the conditions while thy last. Yesterday anglers staying in the motel reported having another very good day in the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville. The Lower Fly Zone, Schoolhouse Pool, Wire Hole and Trestle Pool produced steady action. Anglers also reported getting into fish in the lower end of the river while using flies, beads and egg sacs. Nymphs and single egg patterns produced the best results.
