Who are the enemies of peace? On last Tuesday, 18th June 2013, the political bureau of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was inaugurated amongst the full protocol and diplomatic ceremonies inside Doha, the capital of Qatar. The objectives of this bureau and the policy of the Islamic Emirate were explicitly announced to the international media. The white flag of the Islamic Emirate, decorated with the Islamic creed of “ لا اله الله محمد رسول الله ” was hoisted there. The sign-board of ‘The Political Bureau of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’ in Arabic Language “ المکتب السیاسی لامارة افغانستان الاسلامیة ” was placed on the right side of the main entrance of this office. It was confirmed and supported by several countries including the United State of America. This courageous step of the Islamic Emirate was welcomed and received as a significant step forward in the way of finding a solution for the Afghan predicament. But Karzai, the so called head of Kabul admin, and his band could not put up with this bureau of peace of the Islamic Emirate; their minds and senses were totally confused; their faces turned pale and they were fully embarrassed. The enemies of peace and stability in our beloved homeland exhibited their tough resistance with this bureau in such a state that they were blowing their trumpets of peace for the last several years. They pocketed millions of dollars from various countries under the banner of peace. They convened ‘Loya Girga’ i.e. ‘The Grand Council’ (as they call it) for peace. They formed the so called ‘High Council of Peace’. They displayed themselves to be the white pigeons of peace. As far as Karzai is concerned, he used to say that if he found the Taliban’s address, he would himself go there to talk with them. Why is he taking steps backward when it comes to put it into practice? Why has he girded up his loin for disrupting the peace? What harm is inflicted on them if there is peace? Why are they creating obstacles for the political bureau of the Islamic Emirate? These are the questions which are gushing forth in the minds of the Afghan masses. This is not the first time that these hypocritical contractors or monopolists of peace have ventured to sabotage the peace process. One year ago, they had also exhibited analogous reaction against the peace talks. It is obvious that enduring and stable peace inside Afghanistan can only be restored when the occupation is fully terminated, the alien forces are completely withdrawn from our country and the freedom and sovereignty of our beloved homeland is restored. This is the demand which is constantly made by the Islamic Emirate and was reiterated on that day too; as it is an important and essential prerequisite for peace. But the Kabul administration which is depending from top to bottom on the presence of alien forces, rather it is built by them and is surviving under their support, by no means would like the end of occupation. Therefore they were irritated by the following statement in the opening ceremony of the political bureau of the Islamic Emirate. “We support such a political and peaceful solution in which the end of occupation, setting up of an independent Islamic system and the restoration of enduring peace which is the aspiration of the whole nation, is assured.” Remonstration on the statement, flag and sign-board is nothing but a pretext which has no legal justification, because every state, organization and group, big or small, bears a name and a flag. Similarly, prohibition of workers inside the premises of a political office has no legal or moral justification. Freedom of speech is the conceded right of every individual according to the international rules and the declaration of human rights.
