Who wants to play a guessing game? Ideas on what these may be? History: Perfectly round small lesions that initially present as just a little lump on skin where hair seems raised (similar to the beginning of rain rot). The next day there will be a yellowish sticky discharge (like puss) on the hair and if you pick at it, hair comes off in these perfect round circles. First spot was on the neck- then cheek, medial front left cannon bone, then stifle, flank, belly, rump...there are about three more that erupted today and four lumps I can find that will erupt tomorrow. They arent itchy or related in location, and seem to heal quickly. He doesnt have ticks, hes had a fecal in the past two weeks that was zero and got a tube of ivermectin yesterday morning in the case it might be ringworm. He seems totally uninterested when I pick at him which would indicate they arent particularly painful. He is in a paddock with a mini horse, whom I checked from head to tiny toe today and seems unaffected. His temp is normal and hes eating, drinking, and pooping normally. He has been blanketed for the last few days and some spots are under blanket so I dont think hes being bitten by something. We are located in Virginia, but he came from Aiken SC three weeks ago. He is turned out 24/7 with a run in shed. I cannot find any odd weeds/plants in his field. I am spraying spots with Banixx and it seems to help them heal, but hasnt stopped the preexisting lumps from erupting. WTH?
