Who’s fooling who???...April Fool’s Day!!! It may be COOL…but it’s a foolish and unislamic practice of another fool! Allah, The Most Wise, says: Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies. (Qur’an-40:28) Curse of Allah upon those who lie. (Qur’an-3:61) Islam forbids lying even in jest and it forbids frightening a Muslim whether in seriousness or in jest, in words or in actions. Abu Umamah Al-Bahili (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, I guarantee a home in the middle of Jannah for one who abandons lying even if its just for the sake of fun. (Hadith-Abu Dawud) For many of you, Tuesday (tomorrow) may be a day in which your mind is over-working to trick your friends. There is a never a day or a moment when Sharee’ah permits a person to tell lies or to say whatever he wants based on lies. One of the things that have become widespread among the people is the so called “April Fool’s Day”, where they claim that the first day of the fourth solar month is a day when lying is permitted without being subject to any Islamic guidelines. Imitating the west is regarded as a huge sin and following such customs as April fools, leaves only you as a fool. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever imitates a people is one of them. (Hadith narrated by Ahmad) Dear brothers and sisters, please do not waste precious time indulging in unnecessary games and tricks, in the game of your life only ibaadat will earn u laughter points in the eyes of your beholder. May April be a month blessed with time and happiness for you all and may you not be fooled following the wrong path. May Allah grant us the understanding. آمـــــــــــــين يا رب العالمــــــــــين
