Who’s got a prediction on how this Snowden story will play out? If I were playing armchair producer on this movie, I’d cast Seth Rogan in the part of Snowden. So far we’ve got a really good beginning (stolen national security documents that illustrate how our government is spying on everyone in the world) and pretty solid middle (he flees the country and goes from nation to nation seeking asylum while his options around him shrink by the hour), but how does it end? Does the plane he attempts to escape in mysteriously explode above the ocean? Is he immediately arrested when he lands in whatever country he chooses for asylum? Does he turn over all of his stolen documents to Wikileaks and then kill himself rather than face imminent capture? For what it’s worth, here’s the latest scene in the movie, which incorporates Bolivia’s president Evo Morales.
