Why Are These Two Men Laughing? ......The Power Of Unity When Martin Luther King Jr. came out with his peaceful non-violent resistance approach to fight for black Civil Rights, many -- if not all -- black people thought he was crazy! Martin, are you crazy? The only thing that the White man respects is force and violence! We need to let the white man know that we can speak his language of HATE, guns and violence fluently! Then one day, a Mister Malcolm X stepped to the microphone and in speech that caused shock waves, said: [White man] Choose either the Ballot or the Bullet! How dare that damn Uppity Nigga threaten us?! Lynch posses for him were being formed up even in Beverly Hills, between tea and krumpets! Once Malcolm X stepped forward, a lot of white people now saw Dr Martin Luther King Jr. as the Good Negro offering Peace and mutual respect. In contrast, with growing trepidation, they saw Malcolm X as the emerging Evil Violent, Angry Buck Arrogant Negro who espoused shooting back and burning back at whites! Take your Freedom, Dignity, and respect! TAKE IT! So the first thing the powers that be tried to do was to alienate Malcolm and Martin. Make them hate each other! One TV reporter at a Malcolm X press conference badgered Malcolm X, repeatedly interjecting: Malcolm X, is it true that unlike Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who espouses Peace, you espouse a violent armed conflict wtih the whites? In a now famous news clip, Malcolm X tried to ignore the reporter. But finally, Malcolm X gave a, now legendary, reply: I am NOT non-violent with anyone who is not non-violent with me!! Next, something happened that sent more shock waves among racist whites: Martin Luther King Jr, and Malcolm X appeared together talking cordially, shaking hands and even chuckling at some private joke! But there was more! Malcolm X famously and vehemently declared: You will either deal with my Brother Martin [peace and nonviolence], OR you will deal with me [war and violence]! I can surmise the joke that they were chuckling about that day. It probably went something like: Hey Martin, why dont we play Good Cop Bad Cop -- Good Negro, Bad Negro? Thats probably when they looked at each other, shook hands snd laughed widely, as caught in that now famous unprecedented photograph! There is power in UNITY! The KKK knew this. They united to lynch black men and women. Police know this. Gangs know this. The PTA knows this. The Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) knows this. This is why the powers that be have always feared Black Unity. That is why they always conspired skillfully [e.g. COINTELPRO] to destroy any coherent Black Unity! Let me say it again.....there is power in UNITY. That Unity can be used against anything -- any problem, anywhere! NEVER FORGET.....THERE IS POWER IN UNITY. Achieve Unity, and then Use that power. Why are these two men laughing? Because they understood the power of Unity.
