Hanumanji is an ardent love and bhakta of Lord Rama . wherever Lord Rama Katha or Tales were narrated Lord Hanuman is always physically, etherically present by the side of His Lord Rama [ Swami in one of His Photographs during His Serving Narayanaseva in the early days at Prashanti Nilayam cast a shadow..look closely..it is none other than Lord Hanuman ] One day listening in rapt adoration Lord Hanuman was sitting with other devotees when Chaya Putra - the son of Ma Chaaya entered the premises. Seeing Lord Hanuman in such a contemplative mood and in a deep tryst with His Lord , Shani Bhagawan thought this was an opportune moment to test His immense ardor!!! Shani Dev told Lord Hanuman that he was the mighty strong son of Lord Surya and an ardent savant ,bhakt of Lord Shiva. This was an entreat to Lord Hanuman to shun everything he was doing , with His Bravery Lord Hanuman must engage in a fight with Him, Shani Deva. Lord Hanuman accepted Shani Devas Plea Lord Hanuman lengthened His Tail and encircling Shani Dev tightened Shani Dev in the clasp of His Tail. Shani Deva was filled with Ahankaar ie Self Righteousness. As the clasp tightened Shani Devs movements His breathing was getting difficult, and it was indeed getting uncomfortable very much so!!! After doing all this Lord Hanuman said: Hey Shani Dev !! Now it is time for me to do a perambulation of RAM SETU. It is only after that is over, that I will listen to any of your pleadings, or abide to your requests. Saying it again, Lord Hanuman started his perambulations with long strides and a run which was getting faster.Lord Shani Dev was being dragged over the stones and tiles till he was bleeding and injured critically. The much loved Lord Hanuman who answered and quelled all the requests of His pious devotees, said to Shani Deva, If you promise me that you will not give any harm to any of my devotees or savants/bhakths , take the oath.I will free you from this clasp. Shani Dev acquiesced , obliged , and started to take the oath , then Lord Hanuman released Shani Deva. It is said that with the flesh bones and the whole body in such dire straits Shani Deva started to ask for alms, viz: Oil ; immensely pleased with this offering He Shani Deva Graced Blessed and gave His Benevolence and Munificence to all... Just recite Aum Shan Shanishcharaya Namaha while offering Oil to Shani Deva. Wearing orange robes soaking in water do the perambulations and recite this mantra ..One whole Japmala. You will find the grace merit and a sense of fulfillment for all that was plaguing and worrying you excessively.
