Why I included my Christmas decorations in my Thanksgiving celebration: In all my 58 years, I have never ever had a Christmas tree set up at Thanksgiving, so what has come over me? Perhaps it is the fact that sometimes I am so busy during December that it is very late when the tree is set up, and once, maybe twice, I just did not do it at all. This year, I just do not know why I felt that need to set the tree up early, but while viewing the tree, the nativity set my mom and dad made for me in 1979, and reliving times past, I came to the conclusion that it is more than okay to have that sweet little tree sitting in my family room, and of course, I keep my nativity set displayed year round, but what better display should I have at Thanksgiving!!! When we celebrate Thanksgiving this year, we can also view the Christmas decorations and keep in our hearts not only the memories from years past but a spectacular birth from so very many years ago that has made our Thanksgiving possible! I never really did feel like Thanksgiving lasted long enough, and it seemed Christmas was here and gone before you know it. This year, I will be filled with Thanksgiving and Christmas for six beautiful weeks and not just a few days which are lived at a frantic hectic pace and come and go in the blink of an eye!!
