Why Irish people are late for everything: In the year 1919, in Munich, Germany, an Irishman, named Michael Keogh, saved Adolf Hitler from being beaten to death by an angry bunch of German solidiers. Hitler drew his fellow POWs ire by rattling off spiels of a fascist and anti-Semitic bent. Later in life, Michael Keogh, saying the following, reflected on what had happened and how different the world would have been "if we had been a few minutes later that night..." Ever since then, no Irish person has been on time for a single thing out of a rightful fear that it might lead to World War 3, so the next time your Irish friend arrives late, thank him or her for doing their bit to make this world a safer place
